The Challenge

Engineering constraints the brief would not forgive.

Managing immense wind-shear forces on the infinity wet-edge and ensuring zero acoustic bleed into the penthouse directly below. The cantilevered edge suspends 4 metres beyond the primary slab line, creating amplified lateral loads at extreme elevation.

The Applied Solution

How we engineered the answer.

We engineered a massively upsized hydraulic catch-tank to neutralise wind-loss spray patterns and integrated a triple-layer neoprene and epoxy acoustic isolation mount system across the entire structural slab. Every plant vibration path was discretised and damped at source.

What we delivered

  • Wind-shear structural calculation package
  • Triple-layer acoustic isolation detailing
  • Hydraulic catch-tank sizing and weir calibration
  • Infinity-edge method statement + ITP
  • Commissioning and balancing report
  • As-built CAD + O&M manual
